Lat­est in­no­va­tion gives agents an edge

For­get about the pa­per work, a Mata­mata prop­erty agency has a tool to lit­er­ally find listings via the touch of a screen.

Mata­mata Real Es­tate and Farm­lands Real Es­tate is the first Waikato agency to have touch screen list­ing tech­nol­ogy.

The new re­spon­sive win­dow dis­play has been in­stalled into the win­dow at Mata­mata Real Es­tate on Arawa Street.

Agency prin­ci­pal Joanne Mor­gan is ex­cited to be the first in the Waikato to have the tech­nol­ogy and says it cer­tainly sets them apart from other prop­erty agents.

‘‘It’s the lat­est in­no­va­tion, it’s sim­plis­tic and lots of peo­ple have made use of it.

‘‘It’s quite ex­cit­ing to be the first in the Waikato and it def­i­nitely gives our ven­dors an ad­van­tage.

‘‘It’s the way the world is go­ing and you can ei­ther keep up with it, or miss out,’’ she said.

She says the tool en­ables peo­ple to scroll through prop­er­ties listed, se­lect one and see the full range of pho­tos and de­scrip­tion as well as its phys­i­cal lo­ca­tion on Google maps com­plete with di­rec­tions.

It also of­fers an email link for the agent, or for­ward­ing op­tion to the ven­dor’s per­sonal email where they can have a bet­ter look at their leisure.

Mor­gan says it also means peo­ple can get all the prop­erty in­for­ma­tion they need with­out hav­ing to go in­side and speak with an agent di­rectly.

they re­ceive ar­rive over the week­ends, when vis­i­tors are in town look­ing at real es­tate prospects mean­ing both the agents and ven­dors never miss out on an op­por­tu­nity sim­ply be­cause the agency is closed.

The tech­nol­ogy comes from Labryinth So­lu­tions, which be­gan de­vel­op­ing the in­ter­ac­tive soft­ware last year for Auck­land real es­tate com­pa­nies.

‘‘Our in­ter­ac­tive touch win­dow is trans­form­ing the real es­tate front of­fice ex­pe­ri­ence for po­ten­tial buy­ers and adds an in­no­va­tive plat­form for the ven­dors,’’ says Labyrinth So­lu­tions man­ag­ing di­rec­tor Vaughan Reed.

‘‘It’s re­fresh­ing to see the level of com­mit­ment Mata­mata Real Es­tate and Farm­lands Real Es­tate have to their ven­dors by in­vest­ing in cus­tomer fo­cused tech­nol­ogy to show­case their prop­er­ties and de­liver a su­pe­rior ex­pe­ri­ence.
