Xtreme Outback helps Dakar crew
Australian Clutch Services (ACS) has always been at the forefront of clutch and flywheel engineering with an in-house workshop facility for research, development, along with the expertise to upgrade new makes and models being released into the marketplace.
And as a result, when it came to the tough Dakar Rally, Extreme Outback was able to offer support and sponsorship to the Aussie Isuzu Motorsport team of driver Bruce Garland and co-driver Harry Suzuki, who fitted the Xtreme Outback clutch kit to their Dakar-built Isuzu D-Max.
“We’ve been using the Xtreme Outback product for several years, and with reliability being so crucial during these week-long safaris, the Xtreme Outback Clutch is something we needn’t worry about.
“Through thick sand and some of the harshest terrain found anywhere in the world, we knows it’s a vital part we can always rely on,” says Harry.
The newly-developed clutch and fly wheel package by Xtreme X Outback (ACS’s 4WD brand) off offers D-Max owners an upgrade when replacing their clutch. The late mode model D-Max has been fitted with a push-type clutch with an OE solid flywheel. The options from Xtreme O Outback include a heavy duty clutch kit with an organic sprung-centred clutch di disc, cushioned-butt button ceramic disc, and a solid-button ceramic disc. ACS also offers a billet chromoly flywheel option for the D-Max.
