Rancho RS5000X 4WD shocks from Tenneco

-

The parent company of global market leading Monroe brand of automotive shock absorbers and ride performance products has introduced an exciting new range of four wheel drive replacement shock absorbers.

Rancho is an exclusive premium 4WD shock absorber brand, and heading the new Rancho range is an Australian manufactured product designed for the Australasian 4WD market, the Rancho RS5000X.

Featuring Tenneco’s exclusive X-Cross Tuned Technology, these new benchmark-setting aftermarket fourwheel-drive shock absorbers provide significantly improved on and off-road handling performance thanks to several significant engineering enhancements.

Incorporating patented progressive rebound and compression discs, at lower speeds or at the earlier stages of the shock absorber travel, a low speed tuning disc located in the Rancho RS5000X shock absorber valve shim stack engages the valving at lower frequencies, controlling the shock absorber’s energy of motion based on the increase or decrease in shock impact and rebound activity.

So when a major shock absorber impact occurs, the Rancho RS5000X’s patented progressive engagement valving technology allows for the early flow of fluid, reducing harsh initial impacts and controlling fluid flow in a gradual manner through the valving system.

This system minimises rough rides, even in raised height modern four wheel drive vehicles as the Rancho RS5000X piston movement glides through the initial impact and rebound motion of the shock absorber, even with minimal ground impact or force.

The Rancho RS5000X 4WD shock absorber also feature a large 54mm twin-tube body, gas pressurisation, a tough 16mm hard chromed rod, a 35mm diameter sintered, glass filled and Fluon banded iron piston, low friction and self-lubricating seal, protective boot and double welded connection loops.

Manufactured at Tenneco’s multiaward winning Australian manufacturing plant in Adelaide, the company’s local engineers have ensured that these new shock absorbers represent the highest quality and total suitability for on and off-road driving conditions.

Initial local applications for range include the most popular 4WD vehicles, including the Toyota Prado, Land Cruiser and Hilux, Nissan Patrol and Navara, Mitsubishi Pajero, Triton and Ford Ranger.
