Hella wins SEMA Global Media Award
Hella’s dedication to innovation has been rewarded with the prestigious 2016 Global Media Award at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas for its new LED Light Bar 350.
The slim yet powerful LED light bar is the first such product with a body manufactured entirely from thermally conductive plastics. This revolutionary non-corrosive, ceramic-based polymer is precision injection moulded to form the body of the hermetically sealed lamp, which is highly resistant to degradation even in very demanding environmental conditions.
Due to its light weight of only 700g and slim profile, this streamlined light bar is ideal for applications where low weight and aerodynamic styling are essential.
The dust and waterproof light bar features 12 high performance automotive grade LEDs, and comes in two different beam patterns: high beam (Ref 20 with 1 lux at approx. 320 metres) and pencil beam (Ref 30 with 1 lux at approx. 380 metres). The LED light bar is fully road legal, with ECE approval, and features a multi-volt circuit for optimal, consistent performance at input voltages from 9 to 33V.
Eduardo Bernasconi, director editorial of the Revista Fullpower Magazine, choose Hella’s product because: “The off-road market in Brazil is getting bigger and we have just a few importers working on it. Besides that, Hella is a well-known brand that is already established down here.”
The SEMA Global Media Awards recognise those companies that manufacture specialty equipment products and accessories that would have mass appeal to consumers in countries outside the United States. The products are voted on by a prestigious group of international journalists.
This year’s programme included 34 judges from 19 countries. Each judge carefully reviewed and evaluated nearly 2,000 product entries before selecting the products they felt would resonate and appeal most to consumers in their home countries.
