Steve joins TransDiesel

Steve Straeter has joined TransDiesel Ltd as technical adviser for fluids and lubricants.

He has an exceptional depth of experience in lubricants, filtration and industrial training, and recently returned to New Zealand after spending two and a half years with Pall Filtration in Mackay, Central Queensland, where he worked as a sales engineer designing, installing and commissioning industrial filtration systems for use in the Bowen Basin coal mining area.

Steve worked for more than 20 years with Caltex, first as a sales engineer in Auckland and the Bay of Plenty, as technical support and as the technical manager in Wellington, and then as a senior product technologist at Caltex International Technical Centre in Sydney responsible for technical writing, training, as a technical advisor for recycling and filtration, and as a member of Caltex’s international team focusing on mining.

He has created and given seminar and training presentations throughout Africa, the Middle East, Australasia and Asia, and liaised with equipment manufacturers on lubricant development, performance and qualifications.

Steve has extensive experience with oil analysis programmes, product recommendations and rationalisation and manufacturers’ lubricant requirements, and his experience will contribute to TransDiesel’s customers achieving optimal lubricant, fluid and equipment performance.
