Stuck? Look at this
We came across an interesting international website, Automotive Air-conditioning Reporter, which operates out of the Netherlands, and contains a huge amount of information relevant to the automotive air-conditioning professional.
It includes charge tables for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, trucks, off road vehicles, construction vehicles which are updated every three months, and although these are only relevant for European pricing, an interesting aspect is that the charge tables include everything you’re going to need when tackling a job.
The site also has more than 600 technical service bulletins which are related to specific vehicle types, and new tips are added every month. There are also replacement time tables for the most important a/c components in cars, a charge valve locator specified per car type, a training programme, an R-1234yf information section, a navigator to surf the OEM’s service websites and more.
For auto a/c diagnostics there is the unique Diagnostic Assistant for pressure/temperature related problems in mobile a/c systems. This is a valuable asset in the season when efficient working is of the highest importance!
The Assistant allows diagnostic help in more than 50 system configurations, and lets you choose between systems with fixed displacement compressor, variable compressor and externally controlled (variable) compressor and expansion valve or orifice tube. Select your particular pressure/temperature problem and you will find the most likely causes of the problem. All this in only four mouse clicks!
Automotive a/c professionals can also enjoy the benefits of the network of international auto a/c specialists which use this website.
These may include problems to solve a problem you have never encountered before.
