Paul Kacper, NGK’s national sales operation manager, wanted a website that gave users easy, premium access to product information, which meant re-designing the well-loved Part Finder component.

“We wanted to ensure that Mechanics, Re-Sellers and DIY Enthusiasts could access the website more intuitively,” he said, noting that the product was the hero of the website, and needed to be treated as such.

NGK’s Part Finder tool has long been a crowd favourite and the crown jewel of the website. With the shift in technology over the last few years leaning towards mobile interaction, it made sense to build the new Part Finder around mobile use.

“Mechanics need information about parts displayed clearly and quickly,” he explained. “So we had the Part Finder tool designed specifically from mobile first before designing for desktop, making it super simple and intuitive to use on the go.”
