ZF gets the mix right

-

For more than 25 years, ZF has developed and manufactured driveline systems and axles for construction machines, fast cementing its position as one of the world’s leading suppliers to the industry.

Manufacturers from the USA, to Europe, to Asia as well as Australia continue to put their trust in the high quality original equipment mixer transmissions from ZF, with the German powerhouse brand fulfilling their OE demands through continuous product innovation.

Leading ZF’s product offerings in the field is its innovative Ecomix II transmission, more commonly known as CML (Concrete Mixer Lowspeed).

Up to 50 percent smaller and 24 percent lighter in comparison to conventional mixer drives, the Ecomix II gives mixer bowl manufacturers more design freedom and a simplified installation

Not just smaller and lighter, Ecomix II is also tougher, offers more flexible installation and is quieter, easier to service and more efficient

Available in three sizes, CML 10, CML 12 and CML 16, the range caters for drum capacities from 8 cu.m up to 16m cu.m, with a maximum output of up to 90,000Nm.

In 2016, ZF Services Australia announced a partnership with Cesco, the nation’s leading concrete bowl manufacturer, to fit the Ecomix II transmission in its mixers.

“We have partnered with Cesco on various projects for over 20 years and when we wanted to trial pilot units of the Ecomix II in the local industry, Cesco was the first company we thought of as both of our companies possess innovative and technology leading attitudes,” Mikael Olin, regional oe sales & technical support executive, ZF Services Australia said.

“Firstly, the Ecomix II CML 12 was installed in Cesco’s 12m3 mixers, shortly followed by installation of the CML 10 into its standard premium mixer range.

“Feedback from Cesco has been extremely positive with customers reporting reductions in fuel and maintenance costs and impressive user benefits with more payload capability due to reduced weight in the CML and a new Cesco designed bowl that further reduces weight.”
