Protect the diesel engine induction system

-

Modern diesel engines are high performance machines that, if maintained properly, will deliver many hundreds of thousands of trouble-free motoring, even in the toughest conditions.

To help ensure reliability, maintain performance and extend service life, it is critical to reduce the amount of oil entering the engine from blow-by gas in the crankcase ventilation system.

Direction Plus says its ProVent oil separator kits are specifically designed to protect your modern diesel engine from this common issue.

“Our ProVent system is the key to separating and redirecting oil and air from blow-by gas produced from within the crank case,” Diesel Distributors’ Kevin Morris said.

“It is critical to reduce the presence of oil from the crankcase ventilation system. If you ignore this issue over time it is likely that your engine will experience a progressive reduction in performance.”

The problem is compounded in modern engines fitted with exhaust gas recirculation systems (EGR), whereby a proportion of the exhaust gas is routed back into the engine. The Direction Plus ProVent system also provides the option of returning the oil back to the sump.

“The combination of oil and exhaust particles from the EGR build up to a point where it blocks inlet manifolds and valves, resulting in reduced engine performance and/or failure,” Kevin said.

The Direction Plus ProVent kits are available for a wide variety of late model popular 4WDs, passenger vehicles, and industrial power applications.

Kits include all you need for easy installation including the oil separator module, model-specific laser cut stainless steel bracket, hose and hose reducers, nuts, bolts, and clamps.

“In addition to maintaining performance and improving ng engine longevity, installing a Direction ction Plus ProVent system providesdes a number of additional benefits,” Kevin said.

“These include preventingng oil and soot contamination n entering the clean air intake, improving turbocharger protection, advoiding oil build-up in intercoolers, regulating crankcase pressure, keeping critical engine component clean and reducing exhaust smoke and odour.

“When you combine all the advantages of installing one of our qualityality oil separator kits, your initial investment will save you money in the long term.”

For the ultimate defence against oil and soot contamination, Direction Plus says investing in a ProVent oil separator kit will protect your vehicle 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
