party, wedding or children’s party.”

As well as offering a venue for celebrations, the club also hosts pool, outdoor bowls, indoor bowls, golf, darts, wine clubs, fishing and racing clubs.

“We have a full TAB and a lot of pokie machines. We also offer a free shuttle service throughout Napier from Thursdays to Saturdays.”

Quiz nights take place on the last Wednesday of the month, starting at 6.30pm, at $2 per person for groups of up to six.

“There are great prizes to be won. Our new quiz master kicked this off post-Covid with our first Quiz Night recently.”

Once lockdown level 3 came into play, Andre says they have been able to offer hot and frozen meals, with free delivery throughout Napier.

“We continue to do that now, with added take away options. We were humbled by the number of memberships we received even during these levels and we love how our fun, friendly club continues to grow in numbers.

“We are so incredibly grateful to our wonderful members and guests who continue to support the Taradale Club.”

The club’s Pikopiko Restaurant is open to the public, where nonmembers are also welcome to enjoy a meal and full bar.

“It is quick and easy to sign in digitally when visiting the rest of the club as a guest.”

With a $10 membership fee, until the end of September when all memberships renew, Andre says they are feeling excited about the future of the club, which has 1500 members.

“The planning and growth never stops. We are always upgrading and growing. Our restaurant has had a proper face lift and our function rooms and sports bar are almost done.”
