Reid relieved

-

Winston Reid initially feared he had torn his groin muscle off the bone when playing for West Ham over the weekend. The defender limped off early in the 3-2 loss to Leicester City, ruling him out of captaining the All Whites against Fiji this weekend. But after having scans in London during the week he has been cleared of serious injury. That’s good news for both West Ham and All Whites fans, with the 28-year-old expected to be back for the final three weeks of the English Premier League season, which leads into New Zealand’s Confederations Cup campaign in Russia in June.
