Strong squad

Yachting New Zealand have named all but one of the group who competed at the Rio Olympics last year in their 2017 team. Sailing was one of New Zealand’s success stories at the 2016 Games, collecting four medals to equal the tally won in 1992 in Barcelona. The nowretired Polly Powrie, one half of the silver medal-winning women’s 470 alongside Jo Aleh, is the only name from the 12 who competed in Rio not to feature in the high performance squad.
