Brothers named
Freeskiiers Jackson and BeauJames Wells will join older brother Byron in New Zealand’s team for next month’s Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. Jossi, the eldest of the four Wells brothers, this week withdrew from the team due to a knee injury, but his three younger brothers will all represent New Zealand in South Korea. Jackson, 19, competes in the freeski slopestyle and Beau-James, 22, in the freeski halfpipe competition. It will be Beau-James’ second Winter Olympics after finishing sixth in halfpipe in Sochi in 2014, while Jackson can look forward to his first Olympic competition after having a minor knee operation last week.
