Zoe goes to Parliament
A Nelson teenager’s campaign to save a specialist youth mental health crisis service in Nelson is heading to Parliament. Zoe Palmer, 18, will present a 2278-signature petition backing her stand to Green MP Gareth Hughes and Labour MP Paul Eagle at Parliament tomorrow morning. Palmer is campaigning to retain the 24-hour dedicated Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) crisis service. The Nelson Marlborough District Health Board is changing the after hours component of the service to make it an allages team.
