Driver pleads not guilty

A driver charged with the death of an unborn baby after a car crash in Nelson in April has pleaded not guilty and elected trial by jury. Andrew Fleming, 47, pleaded not guilty to a charge of driving with excess blood alcohol causing death and two counts of driving with excess blood alcohol causing injury in the Nelson District Court yesterday. He will appear in court again on September 6.
