A cold front moves onto central New Zealand today then moves over the west of the North Island tonight. A ridge then follows across the South Island. The ridge builds over the country tomorrow. A trough moves onto the lower South Island late Sunday, then weakens as it moves north on Monday with the ridge re-building behind it.
