What’s on in Nelson

❚ Brent Forbes’ exhibition Coastal is opening at Red Gallery, 1 Bridge St, Nelson tonight from 5.30pm to 7pm, and runs until December 7.

❚ A retrospective exhibition examining the life and work of painter Helen Flora Victoria Scales is opening at Nelson’s Suter Art Gallery tonight at 5.30pm, and runs until January 27.

❚ Mark Baskett’s exhibition On that land where we stand is at the Refinery Artspace, Halifax St, Nelson until tomorrow.

❚ Local artists David Carson and Jim Mackay have their exhibition Low Hanging Fruit at the Refinery Artspace until December 8.

❚ Emma Moncrieff is showing art and sculptures in her Dress Series 1 exhibition at Nelson City Framers, Halifax St, Nelson until December 3.

❚ The Fragility exhibition, featuring paintings by Jane Sussmilch, Lyn Cain, Lee-Ann Dixon, Lyn Price and Deb Whitlock Hunter, is at the Suter’s McKee Gallery until December 2.
