❚ The Mapua Boat Club Regatta is on March 31, 11.30am to 3pm. A great day for the family. Anyone with a water-worthy vessel can enter including kayaks, SUPs and dinghies. Registrati­on is $2 on the day.

❚ Fairfield House is hosting a Himalayan themed evening as a fundraiser for Finn Richardson, the teenager left with paraplegia after a biking accident last year. Tickets include a Nepali-Indian fusion three-course vegan feast, a short Himalayan film and presentati­ons by Finn and Dulkara Martig. The event is on April 6, 6pm to 9pm. ❚ The Quiet Dog Gallery is holding a group exhibition of nine artists from Mount Street called The Street Where We Live. Artists include Blake Twigden, Candy Clarke, Jo Kinross, David Ryan, Nic Foster, Brian Strong, Steve Webster, Stan Bowski and Lloyd Harwood. Exhibition on at 33 Wakatu Lane until April 6.

❚ The Chamber of Music New Zealand presents Red Priest – The Baroque Bohemians, playing at the NCMA on March 23 at 7.30pm. Tickets $48 plus service fee.

❚ The Trio Jackson, ‘Violin and Guitar’ is part of the Lunchtime Series at the NCMA on March 28, 1pm. Tickets, $15.

❚ The Nelson Symphony Orchestra presents Dvorak Czech mate! at the NCMA on March 30 at 7.30pm. Adults, $30, students $15.

❚ The Nelson Squash Club hold an open night every Thursday where members and nonmembers can enjoy a friendly night of organised squash with an open bar. Held 7pm to 9pm. Entry $5 for non-members.

❚ Hot Potato Band is performing at The Boathouse on March 28 from 8pm. Limited early bird tickets, $23 or GA, $29.
