■ The Motueka Market is on every Sunday from 8am to 1pm at the Decks Reserve car park, Wallace St. The market includes food, produce, gift stalls, fashion stalls and more.

■ The annual Skatepark Tour holds its final two events at Richmond’s Jubilee Park tomorrow (3pm-5pm) and Nelson’s Neale Park on Sunday (3pm-6pm). Free event.

■ Whakatu¯ Regatta, hosted by Nelson Yacht Club from today till Sunday.

■ The South Island Colgate Games come to Saxton Oval, Stoke between today and Sunday. Nearly 900 athletes aged 7 to 14 will compete in three days of track and field.

■ Pop-Up Little Japan presents Momotaro: The Peach Boy – a puppet show – at the Shopfront Theatre, 105 Collingwoo­d St, Nelson tomorrow from 11am.

■ The Golden Bay A and P Show is on tomorrow from 8am to 5pm, Golden Bay Recreation Park, Takaka. Under 15 free, pre-show: $10, gate sales: $15.

■ Nelson Surf Lifesaving Club’s annual Nelson Tasman surf carnival is at Ta¯hunanui Beach from 9am tomorrow and finishes on Sunday.

■ Hamilton indie-folk band Looking For Alaska continue their Light And Shadow album release tour on Sunday at Mussel Inn, Onekaka. Doors open 8pm, gig starts 9pm. R18 and a $20 cover charge.

■ Summer Movies Al Fresco presents Whale Rider (PG, 2002) at Washbourn Gardens Richmond today, and The Railway Children (G, 1970) at Fairfield Park tomorrow, Faulkner’s Bush, Wakefield, on Sunday and Isel Park Stoke on Thursday, January 21. The Love Bug (Herbie) (G, 1968) is on at Washbourn Gardens, Richmond, January 22, 9pm-11pm (movies start at dusk) Cost: $2 adult, $1 child.

■ Julian Temple Band plays The Mussel Inn, Onekaka tomorrow, starting at 8pm and Nelson’s Sprig and Fern bar, Hardy St, on Sunday from 7pm.

■ Summer Celebratio­n Retro and Vintage Market at Hope Recreation Hall, Main Rd Hope tomorrow from 9am-3pm. Gold coin entry.

■ William Shakespear­e’s Comedy of Errors will be performed at Fairfield House until Wednesday, January 20 at 6.30pm. No performanc­e on January 18. Free entry.

■ Tahuna Summer Sounds comes to Ta¯hunanui Reserve today and Friday February 12, 6pm9pm. Twenty of the region’s top new and upcoming musical acts over two evenings. Free event. If wet, event will be held on the following day.

■ Nick Rado performs at The Playhouse Ma¯pua tonight. Be in the audience for the live taping of his comedy special. $20 for the show starting at 8pm.

■ Art in the Park is on at Nelson’s Queen’s Gardens tomorrow, Victory Square on Tuesday, January 19 and Richmond’s Washbourn Gardens on Thursday, January 21 from 10am–4:30pm.

■ Take part in the Treasure Hunt from Monday till Wednesday between 11am and 2pm at Broadgreen Historic House and Gardens, 276 Nayland Rd, Stoke. Use the clues hidden in the garden to make the magic word. Free event.
