Old Yeller
Some of you will recall out SUV feature in Issue No. 312. One of the vehicles featured was a very tidy 1984 HJ60 Land Cruiser. Following the photo shoot with the other feature vehicles, the owner of the truck decided his paintwork wasn’t quite up to scratch, as a bit of laminate was peeling away and a touch of fade was beginning to occur.
Thus, he engaged the team at CBD Panelbeating and Mechanical in Grey Lynn, Auckland, to respray the truck. Following some back-and-forth about colours, they landed on a tint just a shade yellower than original.
The old Cruiser has come out looking a million bucks, and continues to be driven around town and used as a family hauler by the owner.
