Skoda Kodiaq arrives in May

Skoda’s entry in the large seven-seater SUV market is due here in May, with specifications and pricing being announced in advance. Pricing for the four model lineup starts at $39,990. There are two engine options and three specification levels. The entry level Ambition petrol 2wd (Front wheels) has a 1.4-litre, 110kw TSI turbo petrol engine and 6-speed auto gearbox, this is shared with the 4x4 Ambition+ which is priced at $44,990, whilst the Style moves up to a 2.0-litre, 132kw version of the engine and seven-speed automatic at $54,290. Also in Style trim level is the 2.0-litre, TDI turbo diesel 140kw seven-speed version at $58,290. All models get features such as reversing camera and parking sensors, cruise control, electric tailgate and Smartlink multimedia system, the Ambition+ adds keyless entry, full leather heated seats, rear air conditioning and satnav, while the Style level gets park assist, adaptive cruise control, lane assist and blind spot detection, adaptive chassis control (for off-road) and upgraded nav and multimedia system.
