A new range of Ladder rack systems has been released in New Zealand under the Advantage brand to suit the range of utes sold in this market. The new rack has been engineered by Best Bars Limited, to neatly bolt onto its stainless steel front nudge bar in a way that does not interfere with its safety design. “This is most important – our nudge bars are designed and tested to comply with airbag crash test ratings and these must not be compromised, which is something we have been able to achieve with the fitment of the front ladder rack.” Best Bars, which is also well known for its quality towbars, has been expanding the range of products offered under the Advantage accessory brand name in order to meet a surge in demand caused by the buoyant ute market. Ladder racks are deemed an important addition to the range, enabling tradespeople and those who need to transport long objects on top of their vehicles, to do so effectively and in a safe manner. Roof racks are not always the answer for ladders and other long objects, as the roof itself may not be strong to take the weight or even long enough for them to balance on the top of the vehicle. Proper ladder racks that fit to the front and rear of the vehicle and are designed to take the weight are considered the best approach. Another advantage of the Advantage nudge bar-mounted front ladder rack is that there is no interference with payload space in the wellside tray or aftermarket deck. The Advantage ladder rack system bolts directly to the Advantage stainless steel nudge bar using simple tools and can take up to 75kg in weight. It features anti-rattle bushes, along with quick release pins for easy assembly and disassembly. The uprights are constructed from premium grade mild steel tube and finished in a heavy-duty powder coat. One of the biggest features of the new system is the new alloy extruded cross beam, this system can also take all current popular roof rack brands range of accessories. Meanwhile, Best Bars offers a choice of two rear-mounted Advantage ladder rack systems to completement the new front rack. One is designed to attach to rear corner protectors via quick-release pins and is rated to carry up to 75kg. The other rack is made from heavy-duty alloy for mounting to Advantage brand alloy trays, and is height-adjustable to match a headboard at the front of the deck or the new nudge bar-mounted rack. Along with the new front and rear systems Best Bars has also introduced a centre mount system that bolts directly onto the factory cab protector. The Advantage ladder rack systems are designed in cooperation with the vehicle manufacturers and use high quality materials and fixing systems to ensure many years of outstanding performance. Advantage ladder rack systems are available to fit Toyota, Ford, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Holden, Ssangyong and Nissan Utes, from all leading new vehicle dealerships nationwide and fleet fit out specialist.
