John Andrew Mazda leads the way in record breaking Mazda sales

-

Marama Castle-brown is the Business Development Manager at John Andrew Mazda Fleet. JAMF is the largest Mazda dealer, by sales, in New Zealand.

What’s your fleet perspective onthe new car sales boom in Newzealand?

“I think new car prices, residuals and a positive economy are definitely driving sales. An aging f leet will star t to cost so it makes sense to weigh things up and check out what’s on offer. There’s also employer responsibilities in play. Ensuring the driver is safe, the car is economic and environmentally friendly. I also see a trend toward mobilising staff. Sales and management are on the road more often interacting with their customers and solidifying relationships. It’s not surprising employers are looking for an “office on wheels” for their drivers. Mazda is well positioned with economy, comfor t and full connectivity”

What are your thoughts on Leasing Vs Owning?

“Every client runs a different f leet model. Ownership is still a preferred option for most however, I see the advantage in review-and-refresh every 3-4 years as manufacturers race each other to be more relevant and cost effective to the buyer. The evolution of automotive technology is so fast I think leasing is becoming more relevant”

Whatmakes John Andrew Mazda’s fleet team so successful?

“We deliver Mazda’s to drivers across New Zealand so the ability to project manage and communicate with our clients and other stakeholders is critical. Ever y member of the team is an experienced professional. When you understand Mazda you soon realise that we are not selling a car, we are promoting a brand and ethos that happens to come in different shapes and sizes. I believe that is what sets us apar t”

Lastly, If you were forced to choose, which Mazda is your favourite?

“Ha-ha... I’m a mother of three so I’ll say every model is special in it’s own way.” To contact Marama about f leet sales: Email: marama.castlebrown@johnandrew.co.nz
