Mazda adds touch of luxury to CX range

-

Following the recent introduction of the Takami specification grade in the award winning Mazda6 line, Mazda has taken the grade to other models, notably the Mazda CX-3 and Mazda CX-9 SUVS.

Mazda New Zealand Managing Director David Hodge believes the addition of the Takami grade, along with other enhancements to the CX-9 and CX-3, provides the company with the best offering of SUV vehicles in the market.

“From the popular CX-3, the class-leading CX-5, through to the flagship CX-9 and our brand-new diesel seven-seat CX-8, there is a Mazda Crossover SUV to suit the wide variety of needs of New Zealand motorists.

“We will continue to enhance and refine the Cx-range to ensure it delivers the very best in design, performance and safety technology that New Zealand vehicle buyers have come to expect from Mazda.”

Equipped with the SKYACTIV-G 2.5T engine – the CX-9 has class-leading performance with real-world fuel efficiency. Offering excellent dynamic performance in the mid-to-low rpm range – where the majority of everyday driving occurs.

In addition to the Takami grade, the 2019 Mazda CX-9 gets Apple Carplay and Android Auto technologies across the range, along with enhanced I-ACTIVSENSE active safety technologies which include

High Beam Control (Hbc-which automatically dip the headlights), Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC), Lane Departure Warning (LDWS) and Smart Brake Support (SBS).

Handling and ride have also been improved through refinements to suspension and steering. Noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) has been further refined via a restructure of the cabin’s headliner.

All CX-9 models are now allwheel drive and equipped with an Active Driving display that is projected onto the windscreen, with heated exterior mirrors and front parking sensors.

The new Takami grade CX-9 features ventilated seats, a 360-degree view monitor along with seven-inch centre meter display and windscreen de-icer. The genuine

Rosewood decoration panels, hand crafted box stitched leather steering wheel, and centre console LED ambient lighting provides the driver and passengers with a sense of refined luxury.

The 2019 Mazda CX-9 range starts at $59,695 for the AWD GSX model, $65,295 for the Limited and $67,895 for the top of the line TAKAMI model.

As with all Mazda passenger cars, the CX-9 features mazdacare as standard – a commitment

Mazda makes to ensure each new vehicle continues to perform in optimum condition. mazdacare comprises a Mazda Genuine Factory Warranty and Mazda On Call Roadside Assistance for a five-year, unlimited kilometre period and Genuine Mazda Servicing for threeyears/100,000 km (whichever occurs first) at no extra cost.
