Jaguar springs into NZ market

-

Jaguar New Zealand has launched two new models for 2019 year – the XE and XF 300 SPORT editions.

The new Jaguar XE 300 SPORT special edition saloon will replace the 25t R-sport, while the 2019 XF will replace the 30t R-sport Edition.

But the price for the entry level is more than $25,000 lower than its original recommended retail price.

Not only are the new sedans more affordable, they also feature better engine tech, sporting the new four-cylinder, two-litre Ingenium engine with its twin scroll turbocharger, which delivers 400Nm of torque for a 7.2 litres per 100km fuel consumption figure and 0 to 100km/h in 5.6 seconds for the XF. The XE has recorded 6.9 litres per 100km and knocking a point off the 0 to 100 sprint to 5.5 seconds.

The petrol engines are now equipped with particulate filters to make them even cleaner. Under normal driving conditions, the trapped particles will be oxidised into CO2 and the filter regenerated whenever the driver lifts off the accelerator.

Distinctive 19-inch or 20-inch Satin Technical Grey finish wheels are exclusive, as are the 300 Sport-branded brake callipers. Customers can choose from three exterior colours: Yulong White, Indus Silver and Santorini Black, while the XE is also available in Caldera Red.

The XE, XF enable customers to be more connected, with Jaguar’s advanced Touch

Pro 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system as standard.

The Jaguar XE and XF 300 Sport models start at $82,900 and $94,900 excluding on road costs.
