BLONDINI RIDES AGAIN: The remake of classic New Zealand film Goodbye Pork Pie is set to land in theatres in February and the first trailer has been released. The new version, helmed by original director Geoff Murphy’s son Matt, stars Dean O’Gorman, James Rolleston ( The Dark Horse, The Rehearsal), Ashleigh Cummings ( Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries) and four Minis. Antonia Prebble is Dean’s girl in Invercargill: tinyurl.com/NZLPorkPie.

CRAFTY HALLOWEEN: We’re guessing that dressing up in a clown costume is off the menu for this year’s Halloween, but you may like to get ready for the lolly-demanding hordes by making some Halloween-themed food. There are a lot of cute kids on YouTube doing crafts; our favourite is goldensparkles, two Norwegian girls whose Halloween food actually involves fruit: tinyurl.com/NZLGoldenspar

kles. Hayley Williams’ easy DIY Halloween life hacks – crafts, really – have been viewed more than 2.5 million times: tinyurl.com/NZLPumpkin.

SVOD HIGHLIGHT: What’s good in subscription video on demand. A Place to Call Home’s Marta Dusseldorp is typically brilliant in Janet King, which is screening on Lightbox ( lightbox.co.nz). It’s a spin-off from legal series Crownies and several of its cast appear. Dusseldorp has won an AACTA award and been nominated for a

Logie for her turn as a senior crown prosecutor.
