MARATHON

About 57,000 runners from 144 countries will wend their way from the Arc de Triomphe, down the Champs-Élysées, past the Eiffel Tower, NotreDame Cathedral and Place de la Bastille and along the Seine for the 42nd Paris Marathon (SS4, Sunday, 6.00pm).

SURFING

The World Surf League finishes its second round at Bells Beach in Victoria (SS Pop-up 2, Saturday, 10.00am) and makes its way to Margaret River, Western Australia (SS Pop-up 1, Wednesday, noon). Aussie Julian Wilson and American Lakey Peterson are dominating so far, but it’s early days yet.

DARTS

World No 1 Michael Van Gerwen is looking for his fourth Premier League title, but with Phil “The Power” Taylor’s retirement, the field is wide open for the six players on debut. In week 11, the action is live from Sheffield (SS1, Friday, 6.00am).

RUGBY

Round eight of the Super Rugby season and the Crusaders are still on the road. After Johannesbu­rg last week, they’re in Buenos Aires to play the Jaguares (SS1, Sunday, 9.35am).
