GOD’S MYSTERIES

-

The October 6 Editorial on Catholicism and Ross Miller’s succinct letter (October 13) point to the need for religious reforms – allowing priests to marry and taking a rational view of belief – that could have vast benefits for the modern world.

It is sad that Pope Francis is not convinced, but it’s just possible that continuing pressure from this small, unimportant land at the bottom of the world may produce some results.

Most people will say that is extremely unlikely, but God moves in mysterious ways, and there was, at one time, a small unheard-of country that put forward the crazy notion that women should have the vote.
