OUT AND ON DEMAND: There was a time when it wasn’t easy for LGBTQ viewers to see themselves on screen. That’s much less the case on TVNZ’s On Demand platform, which has partnered with Canadian network OUT tv.

There are dozens of shows in the line-up, from the serious (both the dramatised and documentary versions of Deep Water) to the saucy ( Hometown Pornstar) and the simply frivolous ( Don’t Quit Your Gay Job). Of particular note is the original Queer As Folk series and The Cockettes, a feature-length documentary about the eponymous 1960s San Francisco genre-benders.

New shows from November 15 include season five of Ru Paul’s Drag Race and the Ru Paul-hosted game show Gay for Play; season two of kitten rescue series Kitty 911; and season four of fancy cake show Choccywoccydoodah: tinyurl.com/NZLOutTV.

IN A WORLD: Tourism New Zealand will be chuffed that the second episode of its silly but star-studded #getnzonthemap campaign has made the Guardian’s website and YouTube channel. You can see Rhys Darby, Sir Peter Jackson and the Prime Minister acting it up here: tinyurl.com/NZLMAP.
