Zavy’s been track­ing how Ki­wis are re­act­ing and re­spond­ing to the po­lit­i­cal par­ties via so­cial me­dia. The Auckland-based com­pany draws di­rectly from par­ties’ data on In­sta­gram, Face­book and Twit­ter and then presents this as a con­tin­u­ally evolv­ing in­ter­ac­tive graph. At the time of pub­lish­ing, Labour en­joyed the high­est level of sen­ti­ment on 21 Au­gust (the day of new leader Jacinda Ardern’s cam­paign launch), while Na­tional suf­fered the low­est level of sen­ti­ment af­ter the sec­ond lead­ers de­bate.
