We’re reserving this spot for those local guys & girls that adorn surf spots the length of Aotearoa, living for the purity and stoke of each and every surf at their local. They don’t chase the limelight, nor really care what is going on amongst the world surfing scene. They’re just surfing for the love of it, whenever they can. This issue we’re introducing Raglan’s Campbell McKegg Nicknames? Shambles Married/Family at all? Or relationship? Married to the beautiful Lisa, we had our first baby one week after this photo was taken. Where do you live? Raglan When and how did you first get in to surfing? First real board at age 11, spent hours surfing whitewater down the beach while mum patiently waited. Thanks Mum. Travel? Fiji, Samoa, Oz, Mexico, Peru, Indo, North and deep South of NZ. Favourite place to surf? Anywhere where barrels are on the menu. Your perfect surf session? Pulsing 6ft ground swell, offshore, draining sand bottom tubes with just the crew out, washed down with a couple of cold beers. Been lucky to have a couple of these this year. Your stance on localism? Always respect the locals when traveling. Patience and a smile can go a long way. Any bain's at your local? Summer crowds and permanently grazed feet. Other interests? Photography, Travel and Music Occupation? Roading Engineer Life highlight? The arrival of my little girl Zoe. Fave beer? Stuck on Macs Gold at the mo. Rugby or league?
