YOU SCRUB UP ALRIGHT
To maximise the benefits of hydrating creams and serums, make sure to include exfoliating in your pre- wedding beauty regime.

WHAT IS EXFOLIATION?
Exfoliation, also known as skin polishing or body scrubbing, is essential for dewy, glowing skin. It works similarly to how sandpaper removes the outer layer of the material it’s rubbed over. But before you screw your nose up – we promise you – skin exfoliation is far more gentle (and rewarding!). Beauty products that boast exfoliating, polishing or scrubbing properties often include ingredients such as jojoba beads or walnut shells, which are able to gently buff away dead skin cells from the surface of your skin (that’s the part that allows any goodness you put in to really work). Exfoliation also assists with skin rejuvenation, elasticity, circulation and collagen production – and can help to clear up congested skin on the face, back and chest.
HOW DO I EXFOLIATE?
It doesn’t need to be a lengthy or messy process. Prior to your shower or cleansing your face, exfoliate clean skin with an exfoliating product specific to your need – face or body. Be mindful that a more gritty ‘scrubbing’ ingredient doesn’t necessarily mean a better result. It’s about what works best for your skin and your requirements.
If you’re keen to call on the professionals, exfoliation gets a bit more intense; microdermabrasion, enzyme exfoliation, chemical peels and body scrub services are all available. A professional service will be costly compared to your at-home handiwork, but it’s the perfect pr e - wedd i ng treat and doubles up as a welcome time for some rest and relaxation.
