DREAM a Little DREAM 04.11.2017
SHAAN ANTUNOVICH and JEREMY KLOET’S weekend- wedding bash was a fun and elegant family affair.
Jeremy and I met at the gym, where he was a class instructor. It’s fair to say my interest in the gym increased… a lot! Four years later we tied the knot at the Pacific Rendezvous in Tutukaka. The area is close to my heart as I’d spent many holidays there with my grandparents and it was my late grandfather Eddie’s favourite place to be. We wanted to spend lots of time with our family and friends so we hired the resort for two nights for a weekend celebration. On the Friday we had the food truck ‘I’m A Little Teapot’ serving tacos and Mexican beer, and on the Saturday we had the ceremony and reception.
I fell in love instantly with Anna Schimmel’s classic and elegant dress design – it was exactly what I was after. A veil, white and gold
Kathryn Wilson heels, and my nana’s diamond earrings finished the look. Jeremy wore a black custom made suit by Barkers, with a white shirt with black button details and black bow tie – he looked so dashing!
The flowers were one of my favourite parts about the day. We opted for tulips, made out of silk by the talented Amy at Keepsake Bouquets. I wanted to incorporate them into the day as a nod to Jeremy’s family, who are Dutch.
To encourage mingling, we didn’t have a seating plan, enjoying a scrumptious buffet dinner by the wonderful team at People Potential. Our close friend Annie Shaw created our delish white and gold cake, three-tiered in chocolate, red velvet and butter cake flavours.
Music and entertainment was so important to us on the day. Our friend Luke Bird was our MC and everyone was so charmed by his humour, wit and all-around amazingness throughout the evening. It was a weekend I’ll never forget!
