Janet Jackson fans finally got their first glimpse of her adorable baby boy Eissa this week via the pop star’s website and social media.
“My baby and me after nap time,” Janet captioned a photo that showed her smooching her yawning infant son, who was born in January this year.
Janet (50) made headlines recently after news broke that she and her husband, Qatari billionaire business magnate Wissam Al Mana (42), who wed in 2012, were separating.
It’s the third failed attempt at wedded bliss for Janet, whose marriage to soul singer James DeBarge in 1984 was annulled after just three months. Her 1991 nuptials to dancer René Elizondo Jr ended acrimoniously in 2000.
Sources say the Rhythm Nation singer and Wissam clashed over his conservative views on motherhood.
“Wissam has very strict ideas on how his son should be raised,” said the source. “Ultimately, Janet felt like she couldn’t be herself any more. She needed more freedom. She loved Wissam, but she wants her life back.
However, it may not be the end for the couple. Her estranged husband has written a heartfelt message to the singer-actress.
“To the most beautiful person in the world,” Wissam wrote on his personal website. “Thank you for your divine love, your eternal support and for being my best friend. I love you so much, inshallah we will be together in the Great Forever,” he said, using the Arabic word for “If Allah wills” or “God willing.”
