Quite frankly, it’s cold and damp outside so there’s not much point planting anything in the garden quite yet, even for me in the winterless north! Instead, I’m spending my energy organising my garden shed, giving it a good old clean out and sharpening all my tools. To sharpen my shears,

I get a bit of fine wet-anddry sandpaper, then run the blades along it to give them a good polish. Then I spray the lot with some CRC and hang them up ready for the spring.
