DUNKIRK
RATING: M
It’s a story that’s been told many times before, but now director Christopher Nolan
(of Inception and Interstellar fame) presents his take on the World War II tragedy. When Germany pushed into France in 1940, thousands of Allied soldiers were trapped on the beaches of Dunkirk, with bullets raining down on them and death knocking at their door. Every available boat was called on to help evacuate the troops – even civilians in their small fishing vessels. It was a heroic and dangerous mission and has been excellently told in this new film – you don’t want to miss it.
