WENDYL NISSEN, GREEN GODDESS

This picture was taken 20 years ago on our honeymoon. It was my second marriage and I was pregnant with our daughter Pearl. Paul and I had both married in our early 20s and had kids quite young, so we never got to do an OE. But when we married in 1997, we started travelling and this was our first trip to Paris. It was so exciting to realise what all our friends had been telling us about Europe and I still think this was my best-ever holiday. We are going back for our 20th anniversary in November, staying in the same hotel, Quai Voltaire, and Paul is threatening to recreate some of the photos we took then, 20 years later. I’m not keen, so after taking this photo out for the Weekly, I’ve hidden the album.
