I took maternity leave from editing New Zealand Woman’s Weekly when Darcy was born in 2009 and as soon as he was old enough to fly, we said goodbye to winter and took off to France. He was just 10 weeks old in this photo. My husband Conrad took the pic, and Darcy looks like he couldn’t be happier at a little country restaurant in the south of France with his besotted folks and sister Cleo (6). We spent a blissful three months staying with family and friends, eating like kings and watching our little boy grow. Happy memories.
