Barbra Streisand’s anniversary joy; Cheryl and Liam Payne split; Pippa’s maternity style

Barbra Streisand and her husband James Brolin have been celebrating a rather rare event in Hollywood – their long and happy marriage. The couple have just marked the 20th anniversary of their wedding, which came two years after they were set up by friends.

In honour of the occasion, Barbra (76) tweeted, “Has it really been 22 years since our blind date? Married for 20 years. Happy anniversary honey. Bee X.”

The Memory singer, who was previously married to actor Elliott

Gould, was introduced to

James (77) at a party by friends, and they went on their first date on July 1, 1996.

It went so well that they talked until

3am, but it took

Barbra a couple of

months to decide James was “the one”.

They married at a lavish ceremony at Barbra’s Malibu estate in 1998 and the Oscar-winning actress says she’s proud her marriage has lasted so long.

“Twenty years in Hollywood is like 50 years in Chicago,” she says.

Barbra also shares that her secret to a long-lasting marriage is compassion, counselling and keeping the romance alive by leaving each other sweet notes.
