WHO AM I?

I was born in Edinburgh and my real first name is Thomas. Before I started my acting career, I worked as a milkman, joined the Royal Navy, drove lorries and was an artist’s model. During the 1950s, I had a variety of roles in films and TV. My breakthrough role came in 1962 playing a British secret agent in the first of what would become a long and very well-known series of films. I am now retired. I was knighted in 2000 and I have been married twice.
