LIVING LIFE TO THE FULLEST

-

Ryman has its own carefully designed activities and lifestyle programme, Engage, which was developed with its residents in mind. The aim is to encourage participation, engagement, stimulation and, of course, fun says Ryman Healthcare’s chief operations of cer Barbara Reynen-Rose. “It could range from going to a movie evening to playing bowls, or simply enjoying a coffee and a chat with other residents at the café. “Even for those who are not keen on participating in a social group activity, we ensure there are still things to do.” There are a range of craft activities to foster creativity or a men’s club aimed at encouraging men to share common interests and to socialise together over a game of pool or by working on a woodwork project. Ryman also has its own exercise programme, Triple A – ageless, active and aware – which is designed to be adaptable for a range of abilities.
