Black Sabbath singer and reality star Ozzy Osbourne has been forced to call off his European tour after being rushed to intensive care with a lifethreatening case of bronchitis.

Wife Sharon (66) and two of his three children, Kelly (34) and Jack (33), have been taking it in shifts to care for the rocker after his health deteriorated, with doctors fearing he may contract pneumonia, which can be fatal for people over 70.

“As some of you may have heard, Ozzy was admitted to hospital following complications from the flu,” Sharon tweeted. “His doctors feel this is the best way to get him on a quicker road to recovery. Thanks to everyone for their love and concern.”

However, the 70-yearold’s family and fans have been reassured he is on the mend. “Ozzy’s a fighter and is getting better by the day,” a doctor confirmed.

This is the latest in a long list of health woes for the Prince of Darkness – his US tour was cut short due to a serious infection in his hand.

“It just seems that since October, everything I touch has turned to s***,” Ozzy laments. “First the staph infection in my thumb and now coming down with the flu and bronchitis.

“I want to apologise to all my fans who have been so loyal over the years, my band, my crew and to [support act] Judas Priest for letting you all down.”
