REVOLUTIONS reign!

FINALLY SETTLED IN, VICTORIA IS FACED WITH NEW CHALLENGES

The highly anticipated new season of hit British series Victoria returns this week with leading lady Jenna Coleman delivering more drama than ever.

Beginning in the year 1848, this season will see the young monarch face new babies and fresh challenges as a revolution breaks out across Europe.

“She is now the mother of six children, so you kind of see a really definite time jump.

The two oldest children have grown up − they’re fully speaking characters in their own right,” explains Jenna.

“You also kind of get the sense that Victoria has settled into herself in terms of what her day job is. Her conversations with her prime ministers, it’s all much more second nature.”

It’s been a challenge for the actress who admits to feeling the weight of taking on the role of a real historical character.

Jenna relied heavily on Victoria’s personal diaries to understand more about her life.

“Just listening to the way she talks about her children, in particular, is really interesting,” she tells. “The big misconception is that she didn’t care for her children. But actually, she was quite a warm mother. She spends a lot of time with her children and is fascinated by them, and writes about them extensively.”
