ARE YOU MY MOTHER?

The last time British actress Olivia Colman visited Buckingham Palace, her husband stole some loo paper. But when the star of The Crown dropped into the palace recently, she took home something much more auspicious – a CBE for her services to drama!

Olivia was presented with her award by Anne, Princess Royal, and royal insiders say it was a deliberate call by the Queen not to be present, given that the actress portrays her in season three of Netflix’s hit show.

Instead, her daughter did the honours. The princess and the actress enjoyed a friendly chat, with onlookers speculating that Anne (69) might have been asking if she had anything to worry about in the drama, which begins on November 17.

The princess becomes a main character this season, which lifts the lid on the life of the royals between

1964 and 1977.

While Anne looked relaxed, it has been reported that Prince Charles is unhappy about how he’s being portrayed and worried about the early love scenes between himself and Camilla Parker

Bowles, now the Duchess of Cornwall, whom Princess Diana later referred to as “the third person” in her marriage.

Olivia (45) kept tight-lipped about her tête-à-tête with Anne, but has previously admitted to picking up a souvenir during a palace charity event.

“My husband [actor Ed Sinclair] stole some loo roll just to say we got it from Buckingham Palace,” she revealed.

Of meeting her host, Prince William, she said, “I was very uncool and he was charming. He has that thing where he makes you feel you’re the most exciting person in the room.”
