Wham, bam, it’s over, Pam!
Pamela Anderson’s not known for the longevity of her marriages – a couple have only lasted mere months. But now she’s gone and surpassed herself with her fifth marriage, separating from new hubby Jon Peters after just 12 days.
The former Baywatch star put out a statement less than two weeks after marrying the producer in a romantic Malibu ceremony in which she says, “We would be very grateful for your support as we take some time apart to re-evaluate what we want from life and from one another. Life is a journey and love is a process.”
She adds, “With that universal truth in mind, we have mutually decided to put off the formalisation of our marriage certificate and put our faith in the process.”
The couple have known each other since the 1980s, when Pamela (52) first moved to Los Angeles from her native
Canada. They remained close friends before rekindling their romance a few months ago.
Jon (74) is an ex-hairdresser who got into film producing during a 12-year relationship with Barbra Streisand. He has produced films including The Color Purple, Flashdance,
The Witches of Eastwick and Man of Steel and for a while ran Columbia Pictures. Before Pamela, he was married three times, including to actress Lesley Ann Warren.
Pamela was Mrs Kid Rock for four months in 2016. Before that, she wed professional poker player Rick Salomon twice, with those marriages lasting just 10 weeks and six months. Her longest marriage was to the father of her two sons, Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee. They were husband and wife for three years in the ‘90s.
A friend says they hadn’t filed the paperwork for the January 20 marriage. The split announcement came just a couple of days after Pamela shared a loving shot of herself and Jon on Instagram.
