STOCKING UP

-

Wattie’s Cans for Good is a new campaign being run by the Salvation Army. It’s calling on primary schools to register interest at www.watties.co.nz. Cans for Good will take place on November 14-18, with the aim of collecting more than 25,000 cans to restock food bank shelves in the lead-up to Christmas. All cans will be given to the Salvation Army for use in local food banks and the number of cans collected by schools will be matched by Wattie’s. The initiative combines charity collection with a creative competition and a set of teacherbased resource sheets designed to engage young ones and teachers, in a fun, team-based, giving and learning experience.
