La Porchetta understands that the first duty of a neighbourhood restaurant is to make patrons feel they have come to the right place. As soon as we stepped inside, our hosts Megan and Vish took us on a fantastic Italian experience. We were offered seats in the bright, spacious and trendy interiors, but we decided to sit in the alfresco area with the sun cascading in.

The updated full-range menu has something to suit everyone’s taste, including a great range of pizzas from different regions in Italy, delicious pastas, risottos and meat, chicken and seafood dishes. The new range of starters, such as the pumpkin salad, are outstanding. Plus, there’s a kids’ menu offering healthy and tasty options.

The vibrancy of freshly prepared dishes using healthy ingredients is part of the appeal of La Porchetta. But a restaurant is more than just the food. At La Porchetta it’s about the entire experience. ‘‘We treat our guests like family and we give them our full attention,’’ Megan says.

The restaurant is also growing in popularity as a function venue, able to accommodate up to 160 guests. If your child’s birthday is coming up, La Porchetta offers a stylish and affordable option. They have the Kid’s Pizza Making Birthday Party where the children can be mini chefs (under adult supervision) at their very own event.

The restaurant is fully licensed, with a wide selection of Italian, New Zealand and Australian wines and spirits.
