Osmosis Skin Care - beautiful skin from within
Clients of Browns Bay face and beauty studio Skin Deep were abuzz last Tuesday after attending an evening in the company of Osmosis Skincare founder Dr Ben Johnson.
Skin Deep staff and clients made up a party of 15 to attend Dr Johnson’s talk, part of a tour that included California, Australia, Queenstown and Auckland.
The scheduled 45-minute session became 90 minutes – as senior therapist Raechel commented, ‘‘He spoke so passionately, our clients just loved listening to him.’’
US medical doctor Ben Johnson established his first medi spas in 1997, and has since led the way in the formulation of skin care products based on natural solutions.
Frustrated by the failure of conventional skin care products to provide permanent solutions, Dr Johnson applied his medical mind and concluded that any skincare range should address internal wellness as well as outward appearance.
He concluded that while antioxidants may slow skin damage, only formulations that restore the immune system, accelerate collagen production and heal DNA can reverse the ageing process.
On that basis Osmosis came into being, a line of skincare, makeup, water therapy and supplements designed for permanent change.
