SUPPORTING WORKERS
A collaboration between the Ministry of Social Development and district health boards will trial ways to support people with health conditions and disabilities into work. Budget 2016 has committed $9 million over three years into the Oranga Mahi programme, which is being trialled with volunteer patients from Waitemata DHB. The trial aims to support people into paid employment, providing participants with a range of support. There will be up to six trials across the four DHBs.
