Beach series is back again at Takapuna Beach
Summer is on its way and so is the Harcourts Cooper & Co Beach Series, with the 12th season kicking off on Tuesday November 1.
The event is a series of 18 events which will take place every Tuesday evening at Takapuna Beach.
Participants can choose to take part in running, swimming or stand up paddling.
New to this season is the introduction of team and corporate packages for groups of 10 or more. For senior participants, the series is also offering a 65+ discount.
‘‘We are thrilled to welcome back new and old participants of the Beach Series,’’ event director Nick Carroll says.
The Series will once again encourage families, groups and individuals to get out and be active in a safe environment.’’
The beach series and their charity partner, Hospice North Shore, celebrated a successful season last year, attracting around 9000 participants across the 18 events.
Entries are now open for the 2016-17 season. To register, visit the website or simply turn up at Takapuna Beach on a Tuesday from 5pm.
For participants looking for an extra challenge, the series has expanded to Orewa with the event taking place on Thursday nights.
